Reporting Resources

Below are some resources that I have created or helped to create around reporting and myEvolv. Many of the resources are aimed at people with very little experience in reporting or using SQL but I have tried to combine the basics with some specifics about myEvolv so even if you are a SQL pro, you might find some insight about the structure of myEvolv peppered throughout.

Getting Started with Custom Reporting

This is a presentation I gave at the 2017 NYEUG Training Summit. It covers the general table structure of the myEvolv database, a pattern for developing SQL queries for custom reporting, and a walkthrough of creating a virtual view in Data Insights report writer.

***Download the full file and open in PowerPoint for presenter’s notes which contain more details and explanations of slides.

Reporting/Dashboarding

This is a presentation by Mike Conway, Besa Bauta and myself from the 2018 NYEUG Training Summit. It covers some of the reporting, dashboarding and analytics options that you can use with myEvolv. Unfortunately, the presentation included substantial live demonstrations of the reporting tools covered and they were not recorded.

SQL Basics for myEvolv Reporting

This is a handout that was developed for the 2018 NYEUG Training Summit for absolute beginners in SQL so that people can begin to do some custom reporting in their systems.

How To: Map to Evolv Datasets

This is a video I made for debut in conjunction with our 2018 NYEUG Training Summit Presentation on Reporting. There was just too much to cover with the amount of time povided so i thought I would make this into a video that watchers could follow along to at their own pace.
